At North Main, we worship a God who loves us so much that he was willing to give his own son, Jesus, to pay for our sins.  Through God’s great love for us and our faith in him, we can experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe our greatest honor is to tell as many people about this story as possible. Read it, and see if it makes a difference for you.

God created you to have a relationship with Him. He loves you, and wants you to experience peace and life-change through His Son Jesus Christ.

The Bible says . . .
“We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10

Why don’t most people have this life-changing relationship that God planned for us to have with Him?

God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and the freedom to choose. Adam and Eve chose to disobey God and go their own willful way. We still make this choice today every time we choose to do something that is contrary to God’s perfect standard. This results in separation from God.

The Bible says . . .
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

People have tried many ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God.

The Bible says…
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” Proverbs 14:12

“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.” Isaiah 59:2

No bridge reaches God . . . except one.

Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.

The Bible says . . .

“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 2:5

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God.” 1 Peter 3:18

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

God has provided the only way. Each person must make a choice. We must trust Jesus Christ as the forgiver of our sins and the leader of our lives by receiving Him in faith, and turning away from our own selfishness to follow Him.

The Bible says . . .
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. ” Revelation 3:20

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12

“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

Do you believe this? You are personally invited by Jesus Christ Himself to trust Him today.

“For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
 2 Peter 3:9

Here is how you can have a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ:

1. Admit you are a sinner.
2. Believe Jesus died to pay for your sin, and defeated death by rising from the grave.
3.Through prayer,  Confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Just talk to God, and tell Him from your heart something like this:

“Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead to give me eternal life. Please forgive me. I want to turn from my sins. I now confess you by faith as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

How do I know that I am really saved? Will I feel different? You may feel a sense of peace but the best way to know is to take God at His word. If you prayed this prayer, The Bible says . . .

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

Did you sincerely trust Jesus Christ to change your life? What has He given you?
